Starting a short series so you are able to get to know the team behind Shelley’s Swim Lessons!! Here’s how her interview went…



1. How many years have you been teaching?


I have been teaching going on 21 years.



2. What’s your favorite thing about teaching


I love teaching even the toughest kids the skill of swimming, and especially those who have had poor experiences elsewhere. It feels so amazing to have such an impact on these children’s lives.



3. What is your occupation other than swim teaching?


I have been a nurse going on 30 years.



4. What are some things you like to do for fun?


I am currently the women’s head track coach at KHHS, I love to garden, crochet, and hang with my kids!



5. And what are you most excited for with this upcoming summer?


Saving the world one child at a time. Knowing that more kids will be safe because of my lessons.
